The tunes included in this collection were gathered from various sources (specified in the tune file) and are public domain unless
otherwise noted.

The best source of information for ABC is Chris Walshaw's very helpful website. For anyone unfamiliar with ABC, Chris' page is
the best place to start. It is a great resource for more experienced ABC users as well.

The files on this site have been created using Phil Taylor's Mac-based program "BarFly". They can be accessed using any ABC
reading program (a variety of which can be downloaded from the Chris Walshaw site). Note however that there is an occasional
cross-platform conflict involving the "abc2win" program that prevents a BB ABC file from being opened in that program.  If you
have this problem, you can either try opening the file in another program ("Muse", "MusicEase", "Melody Assistant", etc.) OR
downloading the file from the TuneFinder site.

If any of the entries in this collection are either composed or copyrighted and proper attribution has not been made in
the file, this fact should be brought to my attention.

IMPORTANT:
In cases where tunes are clearly shown as composed/copyrighted, authorization should be obtained from the appropriate party prior
to any intended commercial use.

I have used John Chambers' fine TuneFinder index as the reference to reduce duplication - in other words, if the tune is listed in
TuneFinder, it already exists in some other collection. For that reason, it is to be hoped that most of the tunes contained herein
should be unique (in the sense of not being found elsewhere).

Please note that it is my intention to keep this a work in progress, with additions being made as time permits.

Any suggestions, comments, or corrections with regards to this endeavor will be received with thanks.

Have fun!

BB WEBABC MASTER INDEX

This Index lists all of the tune files presently on the website. Since this is a PDF file, you can't do much with it except check to see what tunes are on my site. You can also use the file number to access the file, but it's a cumbersome process that can be avoided by using TuneFinder (which can search for tunes by name or by filenumber, so that typing in "010087.abc" will get you to the same file as typing in the name "Ashmolean House").

NEW FOLDER FOR THE TUNE COLLECTIONS:

The tunes from various collections (CRE, Roche, Mulvihill, Liddy, etc.) that were formerly in the ~batch folder have been moved to bigfolder.
