¶ As of 12/19, Brittany Haskell is the new director of the GFMAMMC, replacing John Yankee who has moved on to other musical endeavors including
directorship of the Falmouth Chorale and the new Falmouth Community Orchestra. We wish John all the best (and we're happy that he is remaining in the Falmouth area to share his music!)

¶ The 2009 season will begin in March instead of January and will culminate with a concert or concerts on Father's Day weekend in June. It is hoped
that this change to long-standing chorus procedure will help minimize the "snowbird syndrome" that results in the loss of a certain number of singers
from practices every season.

¶ The organizers of the "Afternoon of Music", a yearly event that benefits the Falmouth Homeless Prevention Fund, have expressed their gratitude
for the  generous donation made by the Chorus to this year's fundraiser. The total raised by this endeavor - every penny of which goes to assist those in need -
will be announced early in January.

¶ The Chorus performed at the Falmouth Veteran's Day ceremony in November and earned warm thanks from Veterans' Affairs officers Jay Hill
and Crystal Flagg. Thanks to Marty Tulloch and Tom Goux for the use of the sound system!
